At the end of the summer, Jacqueline contacted me through Instagram as she was looking for a professional portrait and lifestyle photographer to capture solo portrait photographs. Jacqueline is an inspiring travel instagrammer and blogger who shares incredible photos of herself and travel tips for the most beautiful travel destinations.
As an Amsterdam-based lifestyle photographer and a fellow travel lover, it was my pleasure to bring Jacqueline to the best photography spots in Amsterdam. Jacqueline really wanted to highlight the beauty of Amsterdam so I suggested a city photo walk around one of my favourite photography spot.
To prepare for this Amsterdam portrait photoshoot, we discussed outfits and props. I always suggest to my Lifestyle photography client to bring fun props to show their unique personality and add more interest to the photos. A small photographer's secret : using props is a great way to keep your hands busy and allow you to relax in front of the lens. 😉
On the day of the photoshoot, we met in Amsterdam Centrum and had fun shooting photos in the cool amsterdam photo locations from the neighbourhood. My goal for this female traveler photoshoot was to focus on storytelling and allow Jacqueline's personality and beauty to shine. We created a mixture of candid photographs and posed portraits that would fit perfectly in her Instagram's grid.
