It's at the beginning of Autumn that I met Faye and her boyfriend Frank for a romantic photoshoot in the city centre of Amsterdam. I met Faye through her lovely sister Danica which I photographed during a personal branding photoshoot.
Faye and Frank are an American/Dutch newly engaged couple and live in Amsterdam with their french bulldog Pleun.
To prepare for the photoshoot, we exchanged ideas for this fall love session and I created a colour palette on which they were able to base their outfits. My job as a professional lifestyle photographer includes finding the best photography location around Amsterdam. For this specific couple photo session, I suggested the area around Rokin in the city center of Amsterdam as it offered a variety of sceneries.
My goal during this engagement session was to allow Faye and Frank to act naturally in front of my lens so I could capture unstaged and candid portraits.
We did a photowalk together and captured a variety of location and poses. As a lifestyle photographer, I will suggest poses but I like to leave a lot of space for my couples to express themselves, kiss, dance and simply have fun! A loveshoot should be an unforgettable couple experience celebrating love.
